BD-Live is new technology for Blu-ray that uses internet to extend movie viewing experience with online chat, trivia game, exclusive downloadable content, and other online bonus. It requires that the Blu-ray player must support BD-Live. And the playback of the copy of disc with this protection always fails.

So if you want to copy a BD-Live encrypted BD, in order to get a smooth viewing experience of the copy, you need to use some BD decrypter to remove BD-Live at first, like Passkey for Blu-ray.

Passkey for Blu-ray can remove all known Blu-ray protections like AACS, BD+, BD-Live, UOP, RC, etc. to let you freely access Blu-ray content. As a BD-Live decrypter, it is ridiculously easy to use as follows.

Run Passkey for Blu-ray, then insert the BD-Live protected BD into BD-drive, and Passkey opens and decrypts it when you see below pop-up.

After the pop-up disappeared, the whole BD-Live decryption process is over. You can check pertinent info at the Info page of Settings window.
